Stuttgart has a lot to impress inquisitive tourists, including remarkable structures. Neues Schloss, or New Castle, is definitely one of the greatest ones, so it is rightfully considered the gem of the city. Its construction began in 1746, but the work continued until 1807. The palace was intended as a royal residence for Duke Charles Eugene of Württemberg and was planned to be as impressive as Versailles was.
